Red Heart yarn pattern frustration

I'm wondering if anyone else has made (or is working on) the Coats and
Clark Mile-A-Minute afghan pattern SB300-001, available lately on the
Red Heart yarn wrappers? Everything works just fine for rounds one
through five, then round six just simply doesn't work. I've pulled out
my work over and over again and recounted, and I'm pretty convinced at
this point it's not an error on my end.

I can't even find a link to the pattern on the Coats and Clark website
to check for official corrections to it.. Googling found me nothing
except someone else having the same problem back in October 2005, with
no resolution that I saw.

Sorry, I can't help you. But I am sure that you will get an answer soon.

I think you've probably proven that there is a typo in the pattern as
printed. It seems as though most patterns nowadays have typos, or they
just don't bother to test them before they send them out. Maybe you
can figure out what to do to fix it?

Hi,

I would call them as I've called about their yarn and they returned my
call witin 24 hours. I've got the pattern in front of me but have never
done it. I just wish they would put some new patterns on the wrappers
instead of the ones that have been there for more then three years.
Let us know if you do find corrections.

Even "The Big Book of Knitting Stitch Patterns" has photographs that do not
quite match the chart/instructions.

I haven't tried the pattern but I have been considering it. I don't think I
will try it now. Hope you find out what the error is.

I found the Mile-A-Minute pattern here:

http://www.purplekittyyarns.com/free-patterns/afghan-patterns.html

I haven't had time to compare directions yet but maybe we'll find something.
